
About Me
Dr. Ajar Rab is an accomplished advocate, arbitrator, author, and professor focusing on international arbitration, corporate transactions, and commercial litigation. As the founding partner of ANR LAW LLP, Dehradun. He has played a key role in numerous high-stakes arbitrations and litigations, especially in energy disputes, EPC contracts, and infrastructure disputes. His career has also included work with ministries, government bodies, and policy institutes.
Academic Contributions and Teaching
Dr. Rab holds the ‘Professor of Practice’ position at the School of Law, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun. He is an Honorary Research Chair Professor at the Centre for ADR and Arbitration, NIRMA University, Ahmedabad and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata. He is also a visiting faculty member at other law schools across the country and a member of the Board of Directors of the Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot, Hong Kong.

Dr. Rab is empanelled as an arbitrator with institutions such as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC), Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), Kuala Lumpur, and the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA). He is also a member of several arbitration institutes and serves on various academic journals’ advisory and peer-review boards.
Training and Mentorship
Dr. Rab is active in training and mentoring executives, legal teams of multinational corporations, and civil servants. He teaches courses on Negotiation and Drafting of Commercial Documents, Litigation Strategy, and International Commercial Arbitration at various law universities in India.

Dr. Rab has authored books including ‘Interim Measures in International Commercial Arbitration: A Comparative Review’ (Kluwer Law International), ‘Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016’ (EBC), ‘Drafting of Contracts: Basic Principles’ (EBC), and ‘Drafting Contracts: Advanced Principles’ (EBC). His articles have been published in leading national and international journals, and the Supreme Court of India has recognized his contributions.
